Join us on September 8th at 6:00pm for the Playing Fields Project at Flynn Elementary School! This free back-to-school celebration is presented by The Flynn and Barre City Elementary and Middle School. 

This year, bring your friends and family for an awe-inspiring evening of large-scale puppetry, featuring Sea Fantasy – The Pearl. The show is created by Plasticiens Volants, an exciting and dynamic street theater troupe joining us all the way from France.

The BUUSD Special Services Team invites you to attend their community forum on Wednesday, May 13. Join them to learn about a review of the 25/26 school year and hear more information about Extended School Year (ESY) 2026.

Dear Parents, Caregivers, Neighbors and Community Members,

I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the recent school budget vote. Whether you cast your ballot at the polls or through an absentee process, your engagement is vital to the health and future of our community.   

While we are disappointed that the proposed FY27 budget was not approved, we hear the community’s concerns regarding affordability and sustainability.  We recognize that external pressures—including significant changes in student demographics, rising health insurance premiums, and a substantial decrease in our long-term weighted average daily membership—have created a complex financial landscape for both the district and our taxpayers.
